About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will play a critical role in providing specialist psychological services to stroke patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to stroke patients, including those with complex and severe cognitive and emotional difficulties.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a psychologically informed environment, promoting the well-being and recovery of stroke patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and lead clinical supervision, consultation, and training programs for staff, promoting excellence in neuropsychological practice.
  • Conduct research and service evaluation to inform best practices and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Registration as an Applied Psychology Practitioner member of the HCPC.
  • Experience in providing specialist psychological services to stroke patients, including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring of outcomes.
  • Advanced knowledge of psychological research methodology and complex statistical analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to good team functioning and holding team roles.
