Risk and Business Continuity Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Business Continuity Manager to join our team at Blue Cross. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our risk management framework, ensuring that it aligns with best practices and UK regulatory standards. Your expertise will enable us to operate confidently and sustainably, achieving our goals while protecting our charity and supporting teams to deliver on our purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain our risk management framework, ensuring it is engaging and user-friendly for our teams.
- Work with teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize potential risks across the organization, taking a proactive and effective approach to risk mitigation.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management and the Board on risk matters, translating complex data into actionable insights that inform decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and Trustees, highlighting key risks and progress on mitigation efforts.
- Lead training initiatives that cultivate a risk-aware culture across Blue Cross, empowering all employees to engage in consistent and effective risk management.
- Act as an advisor and coach, promoting proactive risk mitigation throughout the organization.
- Develop and maintain robust business recovery plans and procedures to ensure operational resilience.
- Implement a business continuity plan enabling Blue Cross to function effectively in times of crisis.
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated individual who embodies a genuine passion for risk management and business continuity. You will bring a wealth of experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, alongside a solid understanding of regulatory requirements. Your analytical mindset will enable you to assess complex information and translate it into actionable insights, ensuring our organization remains resilient and responsive to emerging challenges.
Essential qualifications and experience include a recognized risk management professional qualification, proven experience working in a risk management environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of internal controls frameworks and UK regulatory requirements, and experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
