About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, including stock control, recruitment, and store standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager
  • Lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team and creating a fantastic place to shop and work
  • Maximise sales and performance across all primary KPIs, with the support of your Store Manager
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience in the retail sector
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Passionate about retail and committed to delivering high standards and great results
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and inspire your team
