About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our installation team, you will play a crucial role in helping us drive the global renewable energy revolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install low-carbon technology in customers' homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps
  • Learn about new technologies and receive comprehensive training to assist the installation engineer from day one
  • Use your knowledge and experience of domestic heating and plumbing systems to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators
  • Ensure that all work is carried out cleanly and respectfully at customers' properties
  • Plan and communicate with your team and customers to ensure the smooth running of the Heat Pump Installation
  • Problem-solve and anticipate potential issues to find efficient solutions

Requirements

  • Experience as a plumber with a strong background in domestic heating systems, including unvented systems
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and 'can-do' attitude, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
  • NVQ Level 2 plumbing (or equivalent experience) and a full, clean driving license
  • WRAS Water Supply Regs or UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems are beneficial but not essential
