Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Accounting Leadership Role candidate to join our finance team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to shape and coordinate detailed revenue and capital budgets, working closely with our management team to drive business growth and success.

About the Role
  • You will provide expert financial guidance and support to managers and colleagues across the organization, leveraging your advanced accounting knowledge and skills.
  • As a seasoned accountant, you will contribute significantly to the effective management of various aspects of our revenue and capital budgets.
  • Your proficiency in databases and spreadsheets will be crucial in supporting our analysis and decision-making processes.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial advice and support to managers and colleagues, ensuring timely and informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, using your expertise in databases and spreadsheets.
Requirements
  • AAT qualification or CCAB certification is mandatory.
  • You must have significant experience in an accounting role, preferably with a background in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
