Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Start Club Assistant to join our team at West Dunbartonshire Council. This part-time, term-time post offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young pupils.

About the Role

This is a varied role that requires a warm, approachable manner and excellent communication skills. As an Early Start Club Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment by supervising and engaging with pupils in the hall or playground, setting up and clearing the room, and assisting with breakfast service.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguarding the well-being and safety of pupils
  • Supporting pupils in developing independence and confidence
  • Encouraging good behavior and providing comfort for minor accidents or upsets

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
