Job Summary

The Tubular Inspector Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of the tubular inspection of equipment. This role plans and organizes the details of these activities in line with priorities set by the Inspection Service Line Lead and issues relevant work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with company Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external and internal customer representatives regarding enquiries, orders, and late deliveries.
  • Provide accurate quotations for customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Inspection Service Line Lead and Sales Manager to ensure growth and development of the Inspection department.
  • Develop detailed plans with the Inspection Service Line Lead to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and report on activities, providing relevant management information to the Inspection Service Line Lead.
  • Issue weekly reports on backlog and work in progress, including associated values.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Manage and develop department personnel.
  • Additional duties may be required within the job holder's area of competence to fulfill company needs.
Quality and Safety Accountabilities
  • Ensure work is carried out in compliance with company Quality, Health Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Avoid undertaking tasks for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
  • Maintain the highest standard of workmanship, adhering to company expectations and customer, regulatory standards, and specifications.
  • Promote good health, safety, and environmental practices throughout company activities.
  • Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Prevent harm to oneself, colleagues, and others, and the environment, caused by acts or omissions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
  • Report hazards in plant, equipment, and the workplace, or shortcomings in existing controls, to a superior without delay.
  • Support continual improvement of the integrated management system by suggesting better and safer ways to perform tasks and improve policies and procedures.
  • Participate in HSEQ training required for the position.
  • Attend Toolbox Talks, HSEQ meetings, and trainings as required.
HSEQ Authority
  • Report unsafe behaviors to the immediate Supervisor or Safety representative, where applicable, and report directly to the facility HSEQ Manager if necessary.
  • Authority to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.
