We are committed to providing high-quality support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our primary school. Our graduate teaching assistant will play a vital role in delivering tailored learning plans and promoting positive outcomes for pupils.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in any subject and be passionate about SEN education. They will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £4,500 - £5,000 per term, depending on experience.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group pupil support under direct supervision of teaching staff
• Assist with independent learning and provide feedback to the teacher
• Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour
• Support the teacher with managing behaviour and keeping pupils on task
• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities
• Occasional supervise the class for a brief period where a teacher is not available
Requirements:
• Degree in any subject (2:2 or above)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to relate well to pupils and adults
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team
