Job Summary:

The Gemini 3 Group (G3G) is seeking a full-time Technical Writer IV to support a valued Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This position is contingent upon contract award. As a Technical Writer IV, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality technical documentation that meets the needs of our customers.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, proofread, and modify technical documentation to include systems specifications, user manuals, software products, and special reports.
  • Work with developers, systems engineers, and PMs to drive the scope and direction of product end-user documentation.
  • Provide editorial and QA support for documents, functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, reports, training materials, and Customer deliverables to support and/or participate in formal and informal reviews throughout the development cycle.
  • Ensure documentation and document review processes are in accordance with all mandatory DoD, Department of Navy (DON), and Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) policies, directives, regulations, and guidance.


Requirements:

  • Experience being the task lead/manager.
  • Requires current knowledge of and compliance with Military Standards, Defense Agency (DA), or DoD technical writing style manuals, format guides, and General Services Administration (GSA) printing regulations.
  • Excellent writing skills, including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized, able to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.


Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis on technical or professional writing.
  • Military experience acceptable in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in software engineering.
