About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineering Manager to join our client, a leading food manufacturer, in Barnsley. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, including apprentices, site engineers, project engineers, and a deputy engineering manager.

With a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, you will have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, project-based work within a high-speed automated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of engineers, including apprentices, site engineers, project engineers, and a deputy engineering manager.
  2. Develop and implement planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  3. Lead project-based work within a high-speed automated environment.
  4. Collaborate with the site team to ensure smooth operations and high-quality production.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and automated machinery.
  • Understanding of PPM systems.
