Business Analyst Opportunity at Microlise

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Product Management team at Microlise, a leading provider of software, telematics, and proof-of-purchase solutions. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying business requirements, analyzing data, and validating solutions with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use elicitation methods to identify business requirements for each piece of work undertaken
  • Analyze requirements using appropriate methods
  • Validate requirements with stakeholders, including external customers, Product Management, architects, UX/UI experts, and scrum team members
  • Manage the product backlog and ensure it is refined with sufficient sprint-ready user stories for the next sprint planning session
  • Define features and obtain sizing from the scrum teams
  • Contribute to business domain documentation
  • Provide information to stakeholders, appropriate to their needs
  • Travel to customer sites based in the Uttoxeter area on a weekly basis, or as and when required
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst/Product Management role, ideally within the technology or transport and logistics industry
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions by understanding client requirements and working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with data modeling techniques for requirements elicitation and analysis
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to challenge client requirements within reason
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills and excellent stakeholder management
  • Ability to explain business domain working into technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with visualization methods (e.g., storyboards, prototypes)
  • Experience with validation methods (e.g., solution playback)
  • Understanding and knowledge of product management/business analyst processes (elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, traceability)
  • Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work autonomously
  • Full UK driving license
