Gas Market Analysis Role


We are seeking a skilled Advanced Gas Market Analyst to join our team at E1 EDF Trading Ltd. As a key member of our Energy Market Analytics department, you will play a vital role in contributing to gas market analysis and generating trade ideas to support gas trading.


Main Responsibilities



  • Work closely with gas analysts, data engineers, and traders to develop and maintain proprietary gas market models, providing an up-to-date view of European and global gas balances.
  • Develop trading ideas based on analysis of fundamentals and market information.
  • Maintain high quantitative rigor in analysis and monitor accuracy of output.
  • Develop tools to monitor market developments and implied gas balances.
  • Effectively communicate views and findings to traders, analysts, and management.
  • Be flexible and adapt to changing conditions.

Requirements



  • At least 2 years of experience in a gas analytics role.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and other quantitative techniques.

Technical Requirements



  • Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, math, finance, or economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Python for data analytics, with knowledge of Excel and SQL.

Working Hours


40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
