The Forest Schools Program Lead will be responsible for planning, delivering, and managing engaging outdoor sessions that inspire curiosity, resilience, and hands-on learning. Working closely with class teachers and early years practitioners, the successful candidate will design a curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing a well-rounded, nature-based educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up resources and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Supporting child-led activities and encouraging creativity and exploration.
- Conducting regular risk assessments to guarantee the safety of all participants.
- Liaising with local authorities to secure access to outdoor spaces and establish partnerships.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to embed forest school experiences across the school's timetable and promote outdoor education.
Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 Forest School certification or equivalent and have at least one year of experience in a similar role. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside a commitment to supporting children's development through outdoor learning.
Job Details:Salary: £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
