Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' rated Nursery School in Birmingham. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across nursery classes and working closely with the class teacher to ensure all children receive a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher with teaching and learning in the classroom
  • Ensure all children are provided with a safe environment to learn in
  • Assist with eating and help provide a sense of independence
  • Liaise with parents at the end of each day
  • Support pupils who may present with additional needs
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Clean DBS on the update (or be able to pay for one)
  • References from past employers
  • A kind and caring nature
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and ability to plan for and track progress of key children
