Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Engineer Manager to oversee our team and ensure the accuracy of installations. As the point of contact for critical issues, you will be responsible for leading the team and making recommendations to Data Center business owners to optimize Data Center efficiency and utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Space Planning & Design: Develop complex and unique cage-cabinet design options that respond to customer requirements, Equinix requirements, and physical site constraints.
  • Problem Solving: Solve complex, cross-functional issues with Business implications that span multiple groups.
  • Data & Drawing Management: Ensure that AutoCAD drawings or alternative visualizations represent what is installed at the site.
  • Collaboration: Act as a senior advisor and provide direction to entry and intermediate planners as required to analyze and resolve out-of-process technical problems.
  • Capacity Feasibility & Optimization: Make recommendations to Data Center business owners to optimize Data Center efficiency and utilization.
  • Project Management: Initiate plan and deliver capacity-related projects aligned with strategic objectives and key results.

Requirements:

  • Proven years of related experience.
  • Intrinsic motivation to lead and support a team.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD 2D.
  • Driver to understand the background and consequences of actions in a bigger picture.
  • Motivation to directly engage with different stakeholders.
  • Good English language communication and writing skills.
  • Basic understanding of the data center business & technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge to handle databases & CRM software.
