Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: DATS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to our client's packaging manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all equipment is in a safe condition and compliant with current health and safety legislation.
  • Respond to machine faults across site, as directed by the Engineering Cell Managers/Production Cell Manager/Extrusion Cell Leader.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance as directed by Engineering Management.
  • Complete breakdown and maintenance records for all work undertaken on site.
  • Interact with onsite Engineering stores personnel, including booking parts out of stores, assisting in sourcing alternative parts, and returning unused parts to stores.
  • Participate in meetings, supervision, training, and other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.

Requirements:

  • A recognized engineering apprenticeship to ONC/HNC or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Working knowledge of electrical controls (PLCs, Contractors, Relays, VSDs, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of weighing and tension systems (Load cells, etc.).
  • An understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Experience of engineering systems, including planned preventative maintenance.
