About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks in a commercial building in Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Work alongside the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fire alarm testing, sprinkler testing, and AHU/FCU maintenance
  • Conduct PPMs and strip downs on pumps, motors, and water treatment systems
  • Perform annual inspections and descaling of chlorifiers and steam plant
  • Work on cooling towers, softeners, humidifiers, hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, and chillers
Requirements
  • City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical and Plumbing
  • NVQ in Mechanical and Plumbing
  • Trade certificates (essential)
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Understanding of L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units
  • Multi-skilled with good communication and customer skills
  • Ability to travel back home after finishing at 00:00am
Working Hours and Contract Details
  • Shift 4 on 4 off, days and nights
  • £24p/h
  • Temp to perm contract
