Job Title: Part Time Bookkeeper

Parker Lane Group is a leading provider of managed resale and re-commerce services, with a strong presence in over 60 markets worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join our London office.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a challenging and commercial environment. As a part of our finance department, the appointed person will carry out bookkeeping and accounting tasks 2 to 4 days a month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping and preparing bank reconciliations and controls.
  • Processing of purchase invoices, supplier payments and remittances and liaising with suppliers.
  • Maintaining customers' accounting records and reconciliations. Dealing with queries from suppliers and customers.
  • Preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and month end control reconciliations.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and EC Sales Lists.
  • Intrastate reporting.
  • Preparing monthly management reports.
  • Assisting business development team with data analysis.
Other Duties
  • Office administration.
  • Assisting with basic tax compliance matters.
  • Attendance at other Parker Lane offices, as required.
Requirements
  • Education to a minimum of A Level/GNVQ or equivalent.
  • English and Maths GCSE's grade A-C, or overseas equivalent.
  • Qualifications: AAT desirable.
  • Fresher/1 year experience in a bookkeeping and/or accounting role.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing exports and imports from/to the UK essential.
  • Good working knowledge of VAT/Intrastat and EC Sales Lists.
  • Knowledge of XERO accounting software is preferable.
  • Good level of IT knowledge and skills.
