About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at Crowne Plaza Reading. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist colleagues and other members of staff to create a collaborative and quality service through effective communication.
  • Be aware of the facilities available to guests within the hotel, including the leisure club and spa.
  • Assist with the unloading of delivered food supplies and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas and staff canteen according to established standards of hygiene.
  • Sort, store, and distribute ingredients in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • The ability to adhere to the company's rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Flexibility in your approach and ability to assist the Sous Chef and other members of the team when required.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn and develop their skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as a cleaner or porter, is desirable but not essential.
