Job Title: Outreach Tutor

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor to join our team at Ackerman Pierce Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and supporting children with complex needs.

About the Role

This is a temporary position, working 1-6 hours per day, 5 days a week, during school hours only. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs, including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver differentiated National Curriculum core subjects to children with complex needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to support children with challenging behaviour
  • Work face-to-face with children and families in the community
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package for children
Requirements
  • Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5
  • QTS status or equivalent, or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • Experience working with SEMH, ASC, EBD, and associated complex needs
  • Two years' previous experience working within a UK school
