About the Job

This role involves working in a supportive and dynamic environment, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. As a PRU Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

  • Delivering High-Quality Teaching: You will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of your students, promoting academic excellence and fostering a love for learning.
  • Developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs): You will work closely with support staff and external agencies to create personalized education plans that focus on the unique learning requirements and goals of each student.
  • Collaborating with Support Staff and External Agencies: As a PRU Teacher, you will form strong partnerships with teaching assistants, school counsellors, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support to your students, addressing their academic and emotional needs.
  • Monitoring and Assessing Student Progress: Regular assessment and feedback are crucial in this role, enabling you to track each student's progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promoting Positive Behaviour: You will actively promote positive behaviour and implement effective behaviour management strategies to help students develop self-regulation and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We offer a competitive salary package, including £32,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
