Job Description

Role Overview

SMC Design is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Coordinator to join our team in London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing BIM and Revit support, ensuring the technical upskilling and mentoring of the team, and overseeing the production of data to facilitate consistent, high-quality project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in Revit and other relevant software and platforms, including Dynamo, Navisworks, CDE's, and Enscape.
  • Work closely with the BIM Manager to ensure team optimisation for working in Revit and to oversee associated technologies and workflows.
  • Ensure the delivery of coordinated models and oversee the production of data to facilitate consistent, high-quality project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of UK BIM standards and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM and Revit into the design process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BIM and Revit, and apply this knowledge to improve processes and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within a Level 2 BIM-accredited practice.
  • Strong knowledge of UK BIM standards and industry best practices.
  • Advanced skills in Revit, including content creation and parametric components.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on high-profile projects from concept through to completion.
