Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced administrators to join our team at Sunderland GP Alliance Family Practices. The successful candidates will be responsible for handling and processing a high volume of information, ensuring safe patient care and the efficient running of the practice.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing all data within our clinical system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Processing and handling electronic patient information, including laboratory test results and other clinical data.
  • Working collaboratively with the QOF/IT Team to ensure the smooth operation of our clinical systems.
  • Providing administrative support to the practice team, including handling confidential information and maintaining accurate records.

Sunderland GP Alliance is a not-for-profit collaboration of GP practices in Sunderland, serving approximately 285,000 patients. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes in our community.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
  • Proven experience of working in an office environment and demonstrable experience of administrative work.
  • Experience of handling confidential information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience of working with EMIS Web clinical software.
  • Previous experience with medical terminology, clinical coding, and summarizing records.
  • Familiarity with GDPR requirements and data protection principles.
