Amazon Advertising is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Scientist to join its team and contribute to the development of its contextual advertising product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, prototype, and test machine learning models to improve contextual data processing and classification.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate models into large-scale production systems.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and applied science within the organization.
  • Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
About the Team

The Supply Quality organization is responsible for solving optimization problems for ad-programs in Amazon and ensuring high-quality ad-impressions. We develop advanced algorithms and infrastructure systems to optimize performance for our advertisers and publishers.

Requirements
  • PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Experience in applied research and programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
  • Experience building machine learning models for business applications and generative deep learning models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, and scipy.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop and Spark.
