Job Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality expert to lead the retail food and beverage department, driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the retail team, creating and managing the annual budget, and implementing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the retail team to achieve business objectives and personal goals.
  • Develop and present the annual retail budget.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout all retail areas.
  • Lead on bar and beverage innovation across all retail areas.
  • Work with the partnership team to deliver successful sponsor activations.
  • Collaborate with the commercial department to analyze sales trends and implement data-driven strategies.
  • Propose and implement retail capital projects within the required timescales.
  • Drive revenue growth across all retail hospitality restaurants.
  • Work with the culinary team to develop seasonal retail menus.
  • Develop a strong team of casual staff to work in the retail department on racedays.
  • Work with the marketing and PR team to deliver the marketing and promotional calendar for each raceday.
  • Collaborate with the ARL team and Head of Operations on temporary structures and build-up and break-down for all racedays.
  • Create an annual beverage and food concession plan to support the onsite retail operation.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a large sports or entertainment venue setting in a comparable role.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful F&B retail operations.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize financial and commercial information.
  • Experience in implementing SOPs to achieve desired retail delivery.
  • Good awareness of marketing tools and up-to-date industry initiatives.
  • Operational knowledge, skills, and experience in bar and restaurant management.
  • Excellent communication skills both upwards and downwards, internally and externally.
  • Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritize importance.
