The Role

We're seeking an experienced Principal Gameplay Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our gameplay engineering team, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing large-scale game features, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the development of our next-generation games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement game features, including gameplay mechanics, AI, and physics
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to help them grow in their roles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features
  • Identify and champion best practices within the gameplay engineering team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform gameplay feature development

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of C++ and game development principles
  • Experience with game development pipelines, including feature design, implementation, and testing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • Passion for game development and a commitment to delivering high-quality gameplay experiences
