Job Title: Support Worker

Search Consultancy is working with a Nationally Recognised Health-care Provider to source experienced support workers in Gateshead to provide support to vulnerable service users.

The Role:

The emphasis of this job will be working with individuals who require support with daily life routines. You will be expected to work flexible shifts and provide support to individuals with severe mental health difficulties and learning disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months previous experience working as a support worker with previous experience in mental health and learning difficulties. We are particularly interested in candidates who have completed MAPA/PMVA training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with daily life routines and provide encouragement to achieve their full potential.
  • Commit to ensuring that people with disabilities are valued and enabled to take control of their own lives.
  • Build a fulfilling and rewarding career in social care, making a difference to the lives of those you support.
  • Provide support to individuals with severe mental health difficulties and learning disabilities.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months experience in the mental health sector.
  • MAPA or PMVA training (not essential).
  • 2 years of employment referencing.
