Maintenance Plumber Job Description

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join their team at HMP Warren Hill Prison. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks, including reactive repairs, small projects, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out plumbing installations, testing, and commissioning in accordance with statutory regulations and industry best practice.
  • Maintain regular communications with the team via radio net.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by regularly checking and testing heating appliances and installations.
  • Undertake incidental and emergency tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) or NVQ level 3 in Plumbing.
  • Two years' experience working as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Water Supply HRES/FRM/05095 SEPTEMBER 2019 and Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
Working Conditions:

This is a temporary role, although there may be opportunities to apply for a permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 39 hours a week, with an hourly rate of £23.23.

Due to the nature of the environment, you will be required to complete standard Security Vetting for the establishment.
