Job Overview

We are proud to support the UK MOD's Logistic Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) programme, a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK's defence supply chain.

The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and procurement and inventory management of food, packed fuels, clothing, medical materiel, and general supplies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical oversight and management of subcontractors.
  • Identify and resolve subcontractor performance issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Implement procedures and processes for managing technical work of subcontractors.

Key Result Areas:

  • Ensure subcontractors meet programme cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • Develop business rhythm required to effectively manage subcontracted elements.
  • Ensure early problem identification and timely resolution of issues to meet programme goals and commitments.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive operational experience in Defence Base Warehousing and Distribution at senior level.
  • Good domain technical knowledge to lead and participate fully in technical interchanges with subcontractors.
  • Ability to communicate, build relationships, and gain trust and confidence at Director level.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
