Psychiatrist Medical Leader in Manchester

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist. This is a full-time or part-time position based at the Moorside Unit, Trafford General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership for multi-disciplinary team meetings and conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
- Support ward-based staff in managing psychiatric emergencies and lead multidisciplinary ward reviews, CPA reviews, and multi-professional meetings.
- Be responsible for patient care on Brook ward, an all-male acute assessment ward with 15 beds, and work closely with Associate Specialty doctors.
- Liaise with families and carers, complete reports for Mental Health Tribunals, and attend or supervise Tribunal work.
- Maintain effective communication and work cooperatively with other services, including community mental health teams and primary care.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Psychiatrist with:
- A medical degree and Specialist Register status.
- GMC registration and, preferably, MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Approved Clinician status.
