We are seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. As part of our team, you will be responsible for executing projects, overseeing dayshift team tasks, and ensuring equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project execution and management.
  • Dayshift team supervision and task management.
  • Equipment maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
  • Providing technical support to production teams.
  • Safety auditing and compliance.
  • Driving safety initiatives and improving workplace safety.
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Plant improvement project identification and execution.
  • Assisting in plant shutdown planning and execution.
  • Operating procedure development and updates.
  • Maintaining equipment inspection records.

Requirements:

  • B-Eng./ BSc Degree (NQF 8/10) in Chemical Engineering.
  • Government Certificate of Competency (Preferable).
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and processes.
  • Experience with MS Office and SAP software.

Estimated Salary: R900,000 - R1,200,000 per annum.
