Supporting Students with Special Needs
About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to work with us at GSL Education - Lincoln. As an SEN Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching secondary-aged students with special needs, including Autism and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Tailor your teaching to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, students, and other professionals.
- Regularly assess and track pupil progress.
- Adjust your teaching methods to suit individual needs and enhance positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to create engaging activities focused on Life Skills and Functional Skills.
- FOLLOWING Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure all specified outcomes are achieved.
Essential Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- At least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings or alternative provisions.
- Confidence working with secondary-age students in either SEN or mainstream settings.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting children's welfare.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply.
