About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our busy Production team at Barfoots. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating production machinery and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Responsible for short interval control, ensuring all safety and compliance guidelines are followed.
- Handle machine changeovers for product changes and provide cover for the Team Leaders when necessary.
- Work to achieve the highest possible operating efficiencies and maintain accurate production records.
- Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are consistently maintained.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with previous factory/production experience, preferably in a Fresh Produce/food-related factory environment. Alternatively, experience in FMCG or any factory/production-based organisation would be beneficial.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good communication skills, with English Level 2/English Level 3.
- Great attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with a 'can do' and flexible attitude.
- A strong team player with a positive mindset and previous experience of machine operating or food production/processing would be an advantage.
