Job Title: Risk and Compliance Assistant

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious law firm to expand their Housing Litigation team. This exceptional opportunity offers a candidate the chance to transition from managing a caseload to a support and compliance-based role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Compliance Officer in handling claims, complaints, DSARs, and associated litigation
  • Support the Compliance Officer in mitigating regulatory risks and exposures
  • Ensure compliance with the firm's AML/CDD procedures and conduct relevant searches
  • Maintain and update central risk registers, including complaints and professional indemnity notifications
  • Liaise with Business Support Group members on relevant projects
  • Assist with file reviews and conduct ad-hoc research in risk management
  • Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory information and changes
Candidate Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in housing litigation or civil litigation
  • Right to work in the UK
Benefits Package:
  • Salary: Up to 40k DOE with annual salary review
