Job Description

TQR is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join their team in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting site production facilities through reactive and planned maintenance of plant, equipment, and services. This role requires the ability to diagnose problems, knowledge to work in a safe manner as shown through company task risk assessments, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults using CNC Controls and PLC Ladder logic.
  • Ensure PPM activities are carried out within scheduled times and arrange machine release if required.
  • Support the installation of new machinery and assist with commissioning and decommissioning of old equipment.
  • Liaise with production staff for updates on machine breakdowns and machine release from production for maintenance.
  • Work with the production team to implement and support PPM/TPM across the site.

Requirements:

  • A recognized maintenance apprenticeship coupled with relevant academic qualifications within an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience working as a maintenance engineer, fault finding using CNC Controls, and rectifying faults.
  • PC literate and proficient in risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • A rotating shift schedule including Monday to Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm and Monday to Friday 14:00pm to 22:00pm.
