Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable adults at school crossing points.

**Key Responsibilities**

* To have regard for the needs of people with disabilities, especially mobility impaired people wishing to use the crossing point.
* Regularly assess the risks associated with operating at the crossing site in order to identify any problems.
* Ensure that all uniform and equipment provided is maintained in good condition and replacements requested when needed.

**Requirements**

* Access to your own vehicle and business insurance is a must, as you will be required to travel to and from crossing sites, as required.
* As part of employment with Essex County Council (ECC), should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service.
