Job Title: Chef/Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at British Garden Centres. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard.
  • Work safely around kitchen equipment and maintain accurate food ordering and stock levels.
  • Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy at all times.
  • Monitor portion size and waste, and prepare carvery and cleaning of carvery.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and records as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a commercial catering environment.
  • Knowledge of carvery, HACCP, allergens, meat weights, and portion control.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Professionalism and reliability, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good time management and level 2 basic food hygiene.
