Cathedral Governance Expert

About the Role
Southwell Minster seeks a dedicated and passionate Non-Executive Trustee to join its governing body. As a vital member of the Chapter, you will contribute expertise in shaping the long-term vision and strategic direction of the Cathedral. Your experience in governance, charity work, or a relevant professional field will be invaluable in ensuring the Minster's long-term sustainability.

The successful candidate will commit approximately one day per month, including eight Chapter meetings per year. This appointment is for a period of three years.

About You
We are seeking an individual with a strong commitment to the mission and values of Southwell Minster. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively at board level. Additionally, you should be able to contribute to financial planning and the management of resources.

Key Responsibilities
* Attend and actively participate in Chapter meetings and relevant committees as required.
* Work collaboratively with other trustees, the executive management, and Cathedral stakeholders.
* Contribute expertise to Chapter in shaping the long-term vision and overall strategic direction of the Cathedral.
* Ensure the Minster's long-term vision and strategy is being effectively delivered by the Executive team.
* Provide expertise to support the Cathedral's management, activities, and projects.
* Ensure effective governance and compliance.
* Support fundraising efforts and help foster relationships with key stakeholders.
