About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Multidisciplinary Maintenance Specialist to join our client's maintenance team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  2. Support the engineering department in closing out Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules in a timely manner.
  3. Respond rapidly to breakdowns on-site, minimizing equipment and machinery downtime.
  4. Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues to prevent costly delays.
  5. Identify opportunities to enhance machine performance and implement improvements.
  6. Communicate effectively within the department to ensure seamless collaboration.
  7. E nsure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, preferably with 18th Edition certification.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and maintenance.
  • Experience in PLC fault finding is advantageous.
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of processes and safe working practices.
  • Excellent planning skills to develop effective maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive, mechanical, electrical, control, and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Positive attitude towards health and safety.
What We Offer
  1. A competitive salary of up to £48,000 (dependent on shifts/experience), plus overtime.
  2. A 39-hour week, Monday to Thursday, with night shift options available.
  3. 28 days' annual leave (24 days paid at basic rate x 1.33).
