About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Head Office Finance team at SPT Labtech. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UK trading company's month-end close, reviewing balance sheets, and gaining hands-on experience in financial systems and commercial finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the UK Finance Manager in driving continuous improvements within the function and across the wider business.
  • Perform regular spend reviews and variance analysis to support our monthly reporting, working closely with departmental heads.
  • Manage the UK Fixed Asset register and associated processes for the company.
  • Completion of monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, including Prepayments, Accruals, and Fixed Assets.
  • Preparation and submission of UK VAT returns, across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Completion of the UK company's Bank Reconciliations.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider Finance Team as required.
Requirements
  • A degree in accounting or business, or studying AAT, ACCA, or CIMA with experience of working in a finance team previously.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good IT literacy with finance systems experience and MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to deadlines.
  • Pride in being well-organized.
