About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Collections Officer in our GIS Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting, managing, and visualising data and information using our corporate GIS system.

In this role, you will also support the management and maintenance of the Council's address and street databases, ensuring accuracy and currency. You will collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance data quality and efficiency.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You should have experience working with large datasets and be proficient in spatial applications such as Desktop GIS.

You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with colleagues from various departments to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, manage, and visualise data and information using the corporate GIS system
  • Support the management and maintenance of address and street databases
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement changes

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in spatial applications
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in English

Salary: £25,992 - £26,835 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
