Distribution Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Shift Manager to join our team at Sysco GB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient distribution of our products to customers across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of our distribution team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and within the required timeframe.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our distribution operations.
- Collaborate with our transportation team to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and that our drivers are trained to the highest standards.
- Monitor and control costs associated with distribution, ensuring that we are operating within budget and making the most of our resources.
- Work closely with our customer service team to ensure that all customer queries and issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Proven experience in a distribution or transportation management role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of transportation legislation and regulations, with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
