Main Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership and support to a team of Gynaecology Nurses and Specialist Nurses, ensuring they receive the necessary training and development opportunities to deliver safe and effective care.
- Work closely with the triumvirate team to improve governance, safety, and reduce risk within the service.
- Ensure safe patient staffing and mitigate risk through effective management and planning.
- Ensure the service meets organisational trajectories for mandatory training and My Time compliance.
As a Lead Nurse for Gynaecology, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to improving quality and patient experience. You will use your expertise and knowledge to support the development of our Gynaecology service, actively participating in improving quality and patient experience, while reducing risk to patients.
Requirements- Current NMC Registration
- Experience at a senior level in nursing/midwifery
- Understanding of operational management within the acute setting
- Change management
- Preparation of business cases including tender applications
- Delivery of NHS targets
- Performance management methodology
- Evidence of extensive expert professional knowledge supplemented by post-reg specialist managerial/leadership training and CPD
- Health-related degree (Nursing)
- Post-basic qualification in management/leadership
