Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of expertise in integrated pest management, plant health care, and nutrient management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of IPM, PHC, and NMP programs to ensure compliance with state and university policies.
  • Ensure safe and effective application of pesticides, fertilizers, and other related products.
  • Train and supervise grounds staff on spray techniques and pesticide applications.
  • Provide planning and direction for maintenance work, including spraying pesticides.
  • Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Considerable knowledge of pesticide application, soil health practices, regional plant diseases, weeds, and insects.
  • Knowledge of county, state, and federal regulations governing the use of pesticides and fertilizers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and submit reports.
  • Effective communication and supervisory skills.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in extreme heat or cold and lifting/moving/carrying 50 pounds many times per week.
