Job Title: Education Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Education Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school for young people with SEMH needs. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish a warm and supportive relationship with students to promote their emotional and social well-being
* Support the teaching team in delivering high-quality educational activities and experiences
* Encourage independence and personal development in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times
* Contribute to the smooth running of the school, adapting to changing needs and priorities

Requirements:

* A GCSE pass in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)
* Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
* Commitment to the role, with a desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
* Positive and creative approach to meeting pupils' needs
