The Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Families Support Professional to join their team. The role is based in Islington and offers a competitive salary of £26 per hour.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled children and their families. As a key member of the Disabled Children's Family Support Team, you will be responsible for supporting families through their child in need plans.

You will work closely with parents, support providers, and other professionals to ensure that the needs of the child are met and that they receive the right support to thrive. Your experience and skills will enable you to implement a range of interventions to support families with disabled children.

To succeed in this role, you will require a relevant vocational qualification to diploma or HNC level 3, as well as significant experience of working with disabled children and their families. You will also need to have an understanding of the barriers faced by these families in a culturally diverse urban environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing child in need plans and ensuring they meet the assessed need
  • Acting as a point of contact for families when issues arise with their personal budget or in times of crisis
  • Supporting parents in poverty, with mental health problems, victims of domestic violence, and those who are English language learners
