About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Howdens Joinery. As a Depot Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our depot, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and achieve our sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the depot's P&L and ensure that we are operating within budget
- Recruit, lead, and motivate a team of sales and operations staff to achieve sales targets
- Build strong relationships with local trade customers to drive sales and growth
- Work closely with our network of teams to provide guidance, support, and training to help you achieve your goals and ambitions
- Manage the depot's inventory and logistics to ensure that we are delivering products to customers on time
Requirements:
- Management experience in a trade or sales environment
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment
- Knowledge of the trade and sales industry
