We are seeking an experienced Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus. As a Disability Evaluation Expert, you will play a crucial role in helping customers receive the support they need.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will work with complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions, using your knowledge to assess the impact of disabilities on daily life.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability affects their daily life
  2. Producing Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to help determine eligibility for benefits
  3. Developing your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision

Requirements include:

  • Valid NMC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
