Governance Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Governance Support Officer to join our Corporate Governance team at the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Corporate Governance team in carrying out a wide range of duties relating to corporate governance, policy, and performance monitoring.
- Process, record, and facilitate responses to Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests, liaising with all departments across the Council to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Support the delivery of the Performance Management Framework, including data collection, analysis, and production of performance information.
Requirements:
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 standard.
- Good understanding of Local Government governance processes.
- Working knowledge of public sector policy and performance issues.
- Excellent communication skills with experience of working with and liaising with internal departments.
- Good organization and time management skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
About the Role:
This is a two-year fixed-term contract based at King's Court Council Offices, King's Lynn. We offer a competitive starting salary up to £30,144 per annum and a supportive work environment.
