About the Role

NAPA Centre is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in our brand-new London clinic. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children with communication disorders to develop, enhance, or restore their functional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct skilled assessments and provide skilled intervention to infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses that impact speech production, receptive language, expressive language, social-pragmatic skills, and feeding/swallowing skills.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address client's limitations, taking into account their age, abilities, and other medical/physical factors.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to train, teach, and provide strategies to improve communication in all environments.
  • Prescribe home exercise programs for patient/caregivers to promote carryover and generalization of skills obtained during therapy sessions.
  • Adapt environments and processes to enhance functional performance of clients in and out of therapy sessions.
  • Actively participate in professional development, including continuing education opportunities and regular clinical supervision.
Requirements
  • Master of Arts or Applied Science in Speech Language Therapist, Communication Disorders, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • License to practice from the UK Chartered Society for Physiotherapy.
  • Strong clinical experience, with at least 2 years post-graduate experience, preferably in a pediatric setting with exposure to children and/or young adults with complex disabilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates.
